Here’s the extended play of what we discussed on Tuesday October 27.
In this presentation, I will elaborate on a number of points that I believe are key to a successful proposal for funding. Again, this is not intended to be comprehensive (indeed, there is no way that it can be in a one-day workshop). The goal is to provide participants with a list of tools/resources that will help them get started down the right road to successful grant applications.
I will say this from the start: Nothing beats experience. I can spout my 10+ years of grantwriting wisdom, and I believe that a good deal of it is quite useful. But, at the end of the day, all that wisdom and something to write with are not going to write the grant proposal – that’s your job. It may seem awkward at first (enough to drive you to all sorts of strange procrastination activities), but the more you do this, the greater your comfort level.
